Great, little radios. Tough, mine are used on a highrise construction site and are working fine. I will buy more.
These work really well. Although I have not tested them over more than my house, they provide clear, constant communication over a long battery life. The 'roger bleep' avoids the need to say 'over' when you have finished speaking, and they are far better than most toy walkie talkies. My seven year old has had hours of fun with these and I am so glad we did not buy child-branded radios.
The walkie talkies were great for the price offered. They even came w/their own batteries. My only problem was that there was no headset connectivity. Other than that the product worked as described.
I never had a product like this. It has a range less then 1 block. The batteries are swallow up quickly and the transmission is poor.
On the plus side, they are very sturdy and look real cool. They made it just past the end of our street (less than a quarter of a mile) before we lost contact.
I bought 2 packs of these so all 4 boys could talk while doing whatever it is that little boys do with walkie-talkies. I bought these for my son for his birthday.
We tried them one day while my husband took the boys to the park (about 3.5 miles from home). I thought with a 12 mile radius they would be great.
I was wrong. I tried replacing all the batteries to see if that was the problem, but it didn't change anything.
If you are using them for "just around the house," then you'll be quite happy with them.
